The Reason:

Ok, we started this tradition some time back and it went something like this:

1) I wanted Geoffrey to go to sleep with nice thoughts in his head.

2) Geoffrey tends to talk in his sleep and say funny things as he is going to sleep

3) I started asking Geoffrey what his favorite things are right before he drifts off to sleep, I usually limit it to 3-5, sometimes I just let him list things till he dozes off

4) I wanted to start keeping track so I started writing them down, typing them up, recording them on a tape recorder etc.

Sometimes he asks me too but usually I am the one awake the longest so I do most of the asking. Sometimes there are repeats, sometimes some of the things don't make sense but I type them up exactly how he says them and in what order. Take it or leave it :)
