I asked Geoffrey what his five most favorite things in the world were, before he went to sleep. It is a tradition we have started a while back. Sometimes he says the funniest stuff because he is half asleep. This time this is what he said:

him: computer shizzles
me: ok, what are computer shizzles?
him: you know those programs on the comp where you play and the comp recognizes and you go down a slide and the computer knows it... yeah. blurf.
me: ok that is possibly the most absurd thing I have ever heard.
him: what?
me: what you just said
him: oh...

He later admitted he was asleep, which I already knew. Like, no really?
But later when he turned off his light he said:
  • you
  • books
  • my computer
  • stargazing
  • thunderstorms
I don't know how I feel about being on that list... Sometimes it makes me really happy, to be on his list of his favorite things in the whole wide world, but sometimes it's nice to hear new stuff. Sometimes he says the same stuff. Last night he said his computer, the stuff that was on it, his friends from online. He has said stargazing before. He hasn't said thunderstorms before even though I knew he liked them. Sometimes he says really enlightening stuff though... Things I wouldn't guess necessarily, right off the bat. Sometimes it's like oh... hmm. Anyway that is his list for tonight.

Oh, and my list. Hmmm. My top five favorite things in the whole wide world (Amy's):
  • Old industrial buildings like converted lofts
  • Really soft, cute, not overly kitschy... big fluffy teddy bears that you can snuggle up against, big ones
  • Down comforters, aka marshmEllows
  • My family and friends... that counts as one.
  • Of course Geoffrey but I won't count that as one, right now even though it's the number one thing, I think.
  • My church. my religion. my beliefs. my faith and morals and what it's made me today.

That's my list for tonight.
